Some people are persistent like trying 10 times to make an online deposit??? You think that after reading the reviews that after 3 times it would be enough to scrap the idea of using this. I had the luxury of receiving a reply from this company. They assure me they read these reviews of course one wouldn't know that since nothing is acknowledged HERE indicating to us that they DO NOT CARE. They assured me they are working on a solution yet this app hasn't been updated for over one year, which is a appalling given this is really there ONLY entry to the bank. My concern is if it is this hard to get money into this bank it maybe just as hard to get your money out of course most of us here like me will never know that. I strongly encourage whoever from the EQ bank that supposedly reads these postings to acknowledge that they do. If they do not YOU decide if this bank CARES about you and your MONEY. .
Stupid bank I've been trying to activate my account forever. First the site said my password was incorrect... which it was not because I took a screenshot of it before I saved it.. and now I'm trying to deposit the check through the mobile deposit app and it won't take the picture of the back of the check.. am so annoyed. I don't even want to use this bank anymore
Never worked properly since day 1 This app is not functional. When you call in for help all you get is excuses. They have obviously not made this app a priority. Kind of undermines your trust in the legitimacy of the bank itself. Not to mention the interest rate dropping monthly.
Yup - like everyone says, the app always fails when trying to use the cheque-in deposit. Alterna's app works perfect and their account gives only a fraction less interest (1.95%) plus you get a debit card so I'm cancelling this EQ account!
Like the others before me, I tried to use the app to deposit a cheque into a new account but it simply returned me to the logon screen after taking the front photo. Calling Support gave me: reboot your phone, and uninstall/reinstall. They seemed apologetic and friendly, but ultimately useless. With only 0.05% difference between you and your competitor, I've found found that your competitor's app worked fine the first time. Guess who I'll be banking with?
After reading other reviews I was reluctant to install it but the snail mail alternative made me take my chances. The app worked from the very first try to deposit the initial cheque, one picture of the front, one of the back, didn't even have that great light. Not sure why didn't work for other people, it was very straightforward, took literally few seconds. Now there is the waiting period to activate the account and will see how the app works afterwards. For now 5 stars
