Pretty decent basic app with a few kinks that need to be worked out. For anyone having problems depositing a cheque make sure to put your cheque on a dark solid colour background. It was only when doing that that the app when not crash after taking pictures of the cheque.
Terrible app. This app would be unacceptable for any bank, let alone an online one. Web based design is sluggish at best, crashes regularly, and often doesn't work at all, timing-out during login.
The EQ Bank app does have some flaws, and not all of the features work on every phone, however I would still recommend at least giving this app try. The procedure for initially opening an account seems to have been changed so that an account can be opened as long as you have your bank account info (account number Etc). This app does have some stability issues, in particular I have been getting errors after closing the app. However none of these errors so far have interfered with the my use of this app for online banking. I've not had any problems cashing checks using this app although the same procedure failed on both of my parents phones, this could be due to the fact that they have an older version of Android on their phones (Android 5 vs. Android 6) or because their phones have less memory (1GB vs 3GB). Again, I would recommend at least trying out this app in case it works on your phone.
Interface non intuitive. Press the wrong back button and you have to log in again. Very slow responding pages compare to app from major banks.
Redirects to login when the app crashes. Did the session terminate safely?
If you have trouble depositing a cheque, change to your cell signal and put a solid colour paper, blue or red behind your cheque, should work then.
