About this game

Alphabet Lane's letterpress shops are closing one by one. Yours is the last. WordWright is a cozy offline word game crossed with an idle print-shop tycoon: set type by hand at the Compositor's Desk, discover words no one in town has printed in years, and build your own word factory — Casters, Ink Mills, Presses, and a Bindery — that keeps earning even while you're away.

Discover, print, publish.
Every word you hand-spell at the Compositor's Desk is a small thrill: rare letters glow, freshly discovered words go straight into your Lexicon, and your very first discovery happens within a minute of opening the shop. Drag the letter tiles into place, unscramble what the rack gives you, then assign discovered words to your Presses and watch them mass-produce for coin, day and night — offline earnings are real and uncapped by any energy system.

Plays offline.
No wifi, no problem. The Compositor's Desk, your Shop Floor, the Market and the whole Lexicon run with no connection at all, and your presses keep earning while the app is closed. Only Today's Front Page and cloud save need the internet — everything else is yours on a plane, a subway, or a dead zone.

A living Market, not a static shop.
Customers post real orders. Demand shifts daily. Words go stale if you over-print them and come back into fashion later, so a broad Lexicon always pays better than grinding one word forever. Fill Orders, take on the weekly Grand Commission, and watch your shop's reputation grow.

Today's Front Page.
Once a day, everyone on Alphabet Lane gets the same rack of letters and the same clock. Compose the best headline you can, submit it, and see where you rank — then share your score as a printed front page of your own.

An incremental game with real prestige.
When your shop outgrows itself, publish a Volume: reset your shop floor, keep your Lexicon and Master Typography upgrades, and walk away with Golden Nibs — the shop's prestige currency, spent on permanent typographic upgrades for every future run. If you like incremental and idle clicker games with a prestige layer, this is that loop, built out of words.

The Lexicon and the Almanac.
Every word you print earns its place in the Lexicon, a 500-entry First Edition collection that grows your vocabulary as it grows your fortune. Every season brings a new Almanac with fresh goals, cosmetics, and rewards to chase.

Fair play, up front.
We built WordWright the way we'd want to play it:
- No forced ads — every ad is optional, rewarded, and skippable. No interstitials, no banners, ever.
- No loot boxes — the Supply Wagon shows fixed, visible daily stock. You always know exactly what you're buying.
- Prestige never purchasable — Golden Nibs are earned by publishing Volumes, never sold, full stop.
- Cloud save from day one, so your shop is never tied to one device.

What's in the shop:
- Casters, Ink Mills, Presses, and a Bindery to build out your shop floor
- A 500-word First Edition Lexicon to discover and collect
- A daily Market with real demand shifts and word freshness
- Daily Orders and a weekly Grand Commission
- Today's Front Page: a daily shared challenge with a leaderboard
- A Volumes prestige system with Master Typography upgrades
- A new Almanac season with 25 pages of goals and rewards
- Cosmetic rewards along the way: Lexicon stamps, press skins, and rare tile finishes
- Full offline earnings — come back to a shop that never stopped running

For fans of offline word games, word puzzles and spelling games, idle tycoon and incremental clicker games with prestige, and relaxing cozy collection games — WordWright is all three at once.

Run your own last letterpress shop. Print something worth reading.
Cozy offline word game meets idle tycoon — spell, print, publish. No forced ads.
