Eşkâl is a person search and lookup application. You type in the name of the person you're curious about; Eşkâl searches open sources (news sites, academic publications, institutional pages, Wikidata, public profiles) and displays a single person card. Under each line on the card, it indicates where the information came from, and you can click on the source.
NOTHING IS SHOWN WITHOUT A SOURCE
This is the only rule of this application. If information cannot be verified, it will not appear on the card. There are no "probably" or "I think"; there is a source link or no line at all. If nothing is found, Eşkâl explicitly states this — it doesn't make things up.
IT DOES NAME LOOKUP, NOT NUMBER LOOKUP
Eşkâl is not a caller ID application. It does not look up phone numbers, does not search for unknown numbers, and does not block calls. Its only function is name lookup: it takes a first and last name and gathers everything available about that person from publicly available sources.
DOES NOT ACCESS YOUR CONTACTS
Eşkâl does not request, upload, or share your phone contacts with anyone. Contact permission is never requested. Your contacts remain on your phone. This application's database consists of publicly available sources, not users' contact lists.
KVKK FILTER ENABLED
Personal data of a special nature, such as health status, religious beliefs, political views, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, and criminal record, as defined in Article 6 of the KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law), are not displayed on the card, even if they appear in the source. This is not a setting, but an unchangeable rule.
NO FACE RECOGNITION
Features such as finding a person from a photo, face matching, and reverse image search are intentionally absent and will not be added. Eşkâl only works with the name you enter.

• Checking if a business owner, consultant, or trainer is really who they say they are

• Searching your own name and seeing what's online about you
HOW IT WORKS
1. Type the name. Add the city, profession, or school if you know it — the chance of finding the right person significantly increases.
2. The search takes about two minutes. The results appear on the screen as they scroll by, you don't have to wait.
3. If there are multiple people with the same name, the Description will not combine them; it will ask, "Which one?" It prefers to ask rather than write the wrong information to the wrong person.
4. A card will appear. The source of each line is next to it.
YOUR RECORDS
You can save a card you find and then return to it with a single touch. You don't need to search for the same name again. You can delete your records at any time.
REMOVE YOUR OWN LISTING
If you see yourself on the card and don't want it, simply tap the "This person is me — I want it removed" link at the bottom of the card. We will receive the request and remove the listing. There is no charge for removal, and you don't need to open an account.
NOTE OF HONESTY
Eşkâl does not access private databases, does not use leaked lists, and does not open anyone's private accounts. It only collects and organizes information that is already publicly available and that you could find yourself if you wanted. The difference is speed and the discipline of citing sources.
For an ordinary name, there may be very few traces on the internet. In such a case, Eşkâl says "I couldn't find it". We consider this not a flaw, but the correct answer.
