Essential Remapper lets you map the Essential hardware button to any action you want: take screenshots, record your screen, launch apps, toggle your flashlight, control media, and much more.

Three gestures (single press, double press, long press) can each trigger a different action, giving you instant access to your most-used shortcuts. Every press is paired with beautiful visual feedback in two styles: one inspired by Nothing's signature aesthetic, one that matches native Android.

• Take a screenshot
• Record your screen, with adjustable resolution, frame rate, and optional microphone audio
• Open the camera app of your choice, even from the lock screen
• Toggle flashlight on/off
• Toggle screen rotation lock
• Switch between Ring and Vibrate modes
• Toggle Do Not Disturb
• Trigger voice assistant
• Media controls - play/pause, next track, previous track

Both adapt to your device orientation, show state-aware icons (flashlight on/off, rotation locked, ringer mode, DND, recording status), and are fully customizable.
Pick your own glow color, adjust hold duration, and toggle effects.

WORKS GREAT! Does exactly as advertised. Just one key tip, make sure you have shizuku, the built in wireless debugging isn't working properly as of the 1.0 release so don't bother with that method, but I'm sure Allex will fix that bug soon enough. definitely worth the 7 bucks. A bit steep in my personal opinion but well worth the convenience of never having to use the essential space by accident ever again.

I liked it and immediately disliked it. I get it's not OEM but it felt pretty good, just, some folks like me just want to have both options, I would love to keep my essential space key, I do use it, but I would also like to have the double press and other functionality of this app. I get it might be a limitations by the firmware, not the developer's fault but I just can't find a good use without my essential space.

This app is exactly what I have been looking for for a long time. Other apps might map double press to an action of your liking but this one can disable Essential Space (which I have been using less and less over time), and configure single press, double press and long press. The button is much more useful to me and the 7$ are absolutely worth it
