Sound Guard provides a private view of microphone signal strength. Start the meter to see a live waveform, current relative dBFS reading, session peak and simple signal guidance from quiet through near digital clipping.

Audio samples are processed in memory and are never recorded, saved or transmitted by the developer. The meter stops when the app leaves the foreground.

Sound Guard reports dBFS relative to the phone microphone's digital ceiling. It does not claim calibrated dBA measurements and must not be used for workplace compliance, medical decisions or certified exposure assessment. Different phones and microphone processing produce different results.

What’s new

Improved the ad experience: the banner is now an integrated section at the end of the scrollable app interface, so it is visible only after scrolling to the bottom. A small close control hides it for the current session. The timed full-screen ad prompt has been removed. Also includes stability and interface refinements.
