Essnce works offline. It's built like an instrument you pick up when you've got a bit of down time, on a train, on a bus, or bored on the couch.

There's too much to list, but the important bits live on five screens.

COMPOSE
Write music on a staff and hear it back in a real instrument voice.
• Tap notes onto a staff; input from piano keys, a guitar fretboard, drum pads, or percussion
• Around 30 instrument voices for playback and notation
• Chords, rests, accidentals, dynamics, slurs, ties, ornaments, and repeats
• Per-note editing: pitch, length, accent, glide, pitch bend
• Key signature, tempo, time signature, and a metronome
• Record from a MIDI keyboard, step or live, over USB or Bluetooth
• Import and export MIDI files
• Export as audio to a Sampler pad, a Drum track, Arrange, your library, or a file

GRAB
Capture sound from anywhere, and pull finished tracks apart into stems on the phone.
• Capture system audio, the mic, a USB mic, or MIDI input
• Live tuner and chord detection while you record
• Auto-detected key, tempo, and chords you can set as the project reference
• Split a song into vocals, drums, bass, and other, entirely on-device
• Preview, level, and A/B the stems against the original mix
• AI stem cleanup that flags problems and suggests fixes you approve
• Send a grab or any stem to a pad, your library, or a note

SAMPLER
A pad sampler that also builds fully playable instruments.
• 16 pads across 4 banks, so 64 sounds
• Record, import, or chop samples; slice a break across the pads
• Play modes: one-shot, gate, sustain, latched loop, with choke groups and mute/solo
• Time stretch with pitch preserved; loops that follow the project tempo
• Per-pad shaping: pitch, resonant filter, ADSR, bit crush, sample-rate reduction, reverse
• Instrument Voice: turn a sample into a keyboard instrument with velocity layers, a synth filter and envelope, and full MIDI expression
• Export your instruments as SFZ or Decent Sampler for desktop DAWs
• Save and load kits; Perform mode plays a loop in live, quantized, with swing

DRUM & ROLL
A step sequencer with a built-in piano roll and proper groove tools.
• Up to 16 tracks by 64 steps, with per-step velocity and accents
• Per-track polymeter, swing, and role-aware humanize
• Lift the groove off one track and paste the feel onto another
• 16-pattern bank, plus Song mode to chain patterns into a full track
• Roll: a piano roll for melodies and chords, with key and scale lock
• GEN: AI builds a pattern from your own samples in any genre, and still works offline from built-in templates
• Beatbox a rhythm into the mic and have it written out as steps
• Per-track FX and EQ, reverb and delay sends, master FX

ARRANGE
A multi-track timeline for turning your pieces into a finished song.
• Place audio clips, drum patterns, and piano-roll parts on tracks
• Non-destructive editing: move, trim, fade, split, and set gain per clip
• Warp any clip to the project tempo with its pitch preserved
• Snap to bars, beats, or triplets, with zoom and multi-clip selection
• Per-track mixer: volume, pan, FX chains, and reverb/delay sends
• Automation you can record live or draw by hand
• Export the mix with every effect and send printed in
• A focused clip editor: trim, transient-slice into the sampler, normalize, reverse

What’s new

SAMPLE MAP
Drop in a loop and every note in it is already found. Fix what's off, then send it out — as MIDI, straight onto the drum roll, or bounced to a pad as one clean part.

FX STUDIO
Patch oscillators, filters and modulators into whatever shape you want. Hear it on real drums, A/B it against dry, then save it. Your patch turns up on any pad as Custom FX.
