About this app

Starter Drivers is the official app for drivers who operate corporate transportation services on the Starter platform. Designed to make your shift clear, organized, and frictionless—from the start of your shift to the end.

═══ What you can do ═══

▸ View your schedule grouped by day (today, tomorrow, and the following days), with the status of each service.

▸ The schedule updates automatically while the app is open: see instantly when a service is assigned, reassigned, or a passenger boarding is completed.

▸ Know what's being measured for each service: your arrival time at the depot and the window in which you must arrive.

▸ Navigate to the starting point, each stop, and the depot using Waze or Google Maps, and return to the app with an optional bubble.

▸ Mark your arrival at the origin point with a photo as evidence and automatic GPS location.

▸ Start the service and track it in "In Progress," with the next step always visible:

• Map of the planned route with numbered stops

• Passenger list with boarding status

• Estimated service end time

▸ Board passengers according to the route type:

• Scan the passenger's QR code

• Manually enter the reservation ID

• Enter the boarding code when the passenger scans the vehicle's QR code

▸ Listen to voice announcements from the Control Tower while driving. These can be turned off in Settings.

▸ End the service with a closing photo and automatic recording of the time and location.

▸ Review your documents: driver's license, valid FUEC (Single Electronic Driver's License), vehicle documents, monthly inspections, and daily pre-operational check.

▸ View your service history for the last 24 hours

or for each month.

═══ Which types of service ═══

▸ Fixed business routes (employee pick-up/drop-off).

▸ Dynamic door-to-door services.

▸ VIP, airport, and occasional transfers.

═══ Data and privacy ═══

The app requests access to:

▸ Location (precise, even in the background) — for tracking
the vehicle while you are logged in, even with the app minimized
or the screen off. If you do not authorize background access,
tracking will only work with the app open. Log out at the end of your shift.

▸ Camera — for the selfie that records who logs in and will
perform the service (with your prior authorization), the service start/end records, and the scanning of passengers' QR codes.

▸ Notifications — to alert you when a service is assigned or reassigned. Tapping the notification opens that service.

▸ Show over other apps (optional) — only for the bubble that allows you to return to the app while navigating with Waze or Google Maps.
This can be turned off in Settings.

Everything the app sends and receives is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) between your phone and Starter's servers. Your PIN is not stored on your phone: it is sent over this encrypted channel only for validation. Your session keys are stored in the operating system's secure keystore (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). The rest of what the app stores on your phone—your driver data and the GPS points that couldn't be sent yet—resides in the app's private area, which no other application can access and which is protected by the device's own encryption; the app does not apply its own encryption on top of it. Only drivers with a vehicle assigned by Starter can log in.
