Been using this for years. Now moving on I've been using this since I got my first Android device and have found it very handy for notes, web clippings etc. that I want to be able to access whenever I am. I had a Premium account at one point but my requirements didn't warrant maintaining it after the free period. Now, with the 2 device limit, I'm voting with my feet and returning to One Note and Google Keep. The Evernote website is blocked at work while the others aren't, which is a nice bonus.
Good Whilst It Lasted I am probably one in the smaller group of users that used Evernote for its simple note taking and organizing capability. Since the change in pricing and limitations to two devices, I was forced to migrate to OneNote. If you have more complex note taking needs, Evernote is for you. It is my hope though these American companies get over their enthnocentric view of the world and meet international users at their respective pricing levels.
Bloatware I hate this bloatwear, and unlike other pre-installed apps, you can't disable it. It also set up an account for me, that you can't see delete even when contacting them via the website. Unethical business in my opinion. Just noticed this review was removed, but thankfully I saved it in a better note app! Guess they don't like criticism... Evernote responded to my hate feedback so I'm giving them an extra star. So don't want it thoughh!
File limit despite upgrade Sigh. Upgrade for what. Still can't upload despite smaller than the upgraded limit. To answer the developer's questions: Subbed to Plus. File is a 33MB mp4 file. I am able to upload it via pc version of evernote but not through app, error message: file too large please subscribe more.
Very aggressive in forcing premium If you are already using this app then you know about there cut backs on service to free users. If you are not using it then it will be better to use something else. I am a light user, so would not benefit from premium. I mainly use this to store my work logs. From being great, Evernote is now horrible.
Attachment are mishandled 1- you broke attachments with so called Google drive integration. Attachments to a note, which open fine in Gmail or email apps in Microsoft Excel or Word, within the evernote either don't open at all and direct to download an app from the play market, or open in Google sheet (some excel files) ignoring my default apps setup. The same excel file, when open from Gmail app - pops up open in excel just fine. 2- there is no simple way to send you email from within the app, only along with an app memory dump.
Fixed a bug where extra spaces would appear in the note
