Review from Josh Rodgers
Nexus 7 I use this app to keep up with my business and personal life which makes the cross platform (I have this on my PC) capabilities invaluable. Notes can be saved to a gmail account and not a specific device. This allows the user to keep notes linked when using multiple devices. A very important detail that another app I was using for notes did not have.
😎 Needs a dark gray background option when taking actual notes. They tease you with the awesome widget that has years long had a dark option. Not sure know why they won't transfer this option over to the entire app. It's a little bright at times in certain circumstances, even if you turn your screen brightness down. But still an overall excellent app for notes. Being able to highlight, bold fonts, bullet points, sync across devices and platforms etc is great. Has way more features than most note apps.
I initially really liked the app but recently lost content from one of my important notebooks. When trying to get support, the online form just led me in circles and I couldn't actually submit a complaint or get any help. I really need those notes and now have no way of getting them unless I get a paid subscription and view the note history. Why did my work from the last week just disappear???? If someone can actually help, please do.
I loved my evernote, even paid for the premium subscription. I switched phones and lost my premium subscription, all my notes, and if i want the premium back i have to pay all over again. Luckily, samsung has a new notes app on my Galaxy 9 and its basically the same thing, but free.
No visible development or bug fixing. Has fontsize issues (changing to small non-default size in middle of notes) for over a year. Not what I expect from a service for which I pay. High on my list to replace by something else.
Many clips fail and you don't realize it since you don't get a message. You only will find it out later in the app itself. So a hit or miss approach not usable for reliable tasks.
Was a 4 star when I first got it around 2015. 5 star when it started syncing between devices. Now, to sync over more than 2 devices, they want a pretty large monthly fee. I wouldn't even mind paying for the app to sync, but a monthly fee is too much. Lots of others out there now.
Fixed: There was an issue that affected the formatting quality of clipped web content on some mobile devices.
Fixed: We’ve addressed issues causing the app to crash.
Fixed: Improvements to image import notifications.
