About this app

****** The issue is fixed with our latest release v.12.16 *****

MessagEase is a VERY different keyboard, unlike any keyboard you’ve seen or experienced before. It's NOT a QWERTY keyboard! So If you are looking for yet another QWERTY keyboard with bells and whistles, MessagEase is not what you are looking for!

But if you are open to new ideas and up for experiencing a completely new way of writing -- with a keyboard designed for ease, speed and accuracy -- you will be pleasantly, even shockingly, surprised at how well, how precise, how easy, and how fast you can text with MessagEase. Our current champion’s speed is 82 WPM! That's 82 Words Per Minute (most people don't type nearly that fast with ten fingers!)

Since MessagEase is very different, you must spend a few minutes to get used to it. Hundreds of thousands of people have, and they think it’s well worth doing so, since MessagEase saves them hours and hours of agony. With MessagEase you type exactly what you want. No more embarrassing auto-corrects; no more guessing!

We have lots of videos to help you become familiar with MessagEase quickly.

There are many more on our YouTube channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/messagease

Also, we have created MessagEase Game (Available for free on Google Play) to help you learn MessagEase and come up to speed with it while having fun. MessagEase Game contains several entertaining learning games.

MessagEase is the world's most innovative touch screen keyboard, revolutionizing text entry on mobile devices. It's the smartest keyboard for smartwatches, smartphones and tablets where the QWERTY keyboard is impractical or very inefficient. MessagEase is the ideal keyboard for Google Glass or any other wearable device.

MessagEase essentially has 9 large keys with an ingenious letter assignment that is designed to maximize your speed and to ease your writing. It may take you a few minutes to learn this new way of writing. But you'll save hours by texting and writing faster.

To see our instructions and descriptions, from the keyboard, Please press and hold on the Hand button.

****Please note: We have no way of responding to your comments if you post them on the market! If you have a question, please email us: support@exideas.com

MessagEase is based on many years of scientific research; it uses letter frequency and di-gram data to optimize the position of letters and characters on a novel keyboard with fewer, larger buttons. (That’s why the letter positions are NON-QWERTY!)

This novel letter position is often very shocking--even intimidating--at first. But persevere and soon you'll find it intuitive and very practical.

MessagEase keyboard also includes word prediction. To keep the package light, the word lists required for word prediction is provided in separate modules that you download optionally. Please long press on Hand and then go to Settings > Languages & Keyboards > Word Prediction for how to set it up.

Please also note that you can change the keyboard size by dragging up/down on the Hand button. You can also reshape and recolor the keyboard in various ways. See Settings for details. You can also change the font used for the keyboard; you can even re-assign new characters or hide and remove some of the characters: yes, it is customizable like no other keyboard you've ever seen.

If you like MessagEase, please tell others about it, and please make sure to rate and comment about it on Google Play.

Again, please write to us if you encounter any issue.

Thank you!

I've been using this app since 2010 and have difficult typing on a QWERTY keyboard, but due to the lack of updates and entering the first character multiple times for some reason and now wanting a subscription fee it's a no. A one-time fee would be fine but I'm not going to subscribe to a keyboard that so far has had disappointing support without any promise of things changing. (Unrelated, but the IOS version can't be sized properly and is barely useable). Time to teach my thumbs QWERTY...

I love(d) this keyboard... but after seeing that it's turning subscription based to use has completely changed my mind. I understand developers should be paid for their work and I would gladly pay a one time fee for it to keep using it... but a subscription? $0.99/month or $9.99/year... you serious? $10 wouldve been a respectable one time fee I wouldve happily paid, but seeing this happen flipped me completely. It was fun while it lasted.

unfortunately time to edit my review, app is great, but forcing a subscription to keep using it out of the blue is awful, if it was a flat price I would definitely support the app, please reconsider old review: (best keyboard ever, I can't use a phone without it anymore. takes a bit to get used to, but once you are, it makes typing and editing text a breeze while only needing to use a single thumb, no need to reach awkwardly to a button on the other side of the screen.)
