Carve & Pull is a focused project log for linocut printmakers who want a simple way to keep track of every block they carve. The app is built around the carved block as its main record, letting you save a block title, carving stage, ink color, and paper type for each piece in your print run. The Bench tab serves as your main workspace dashboard, showing a warm workbench view with recent blocks arranged like small linoleum tiles. There you can see a large inked total for all carved blocks logged and a separate in-progress count for blocks currently in carving or proofing. The Bench also displays the three most recently added blocks so your active projects are always close at hand. A quick add button on the Bench opens the Add Block screen, where large rounded fields make it easy to enter the block title, choose a carving stage, and note the ink color and paper stock. The carving stage options include Sketching, Carving, Proofing, and Editioning, which helps you see where each block sits in your workflow. The Blocks tab shows all of your carved blocks in a scrollable grid, with each block represented as a square linoleum tile with rounded corners and carved surface lines. Tapping any block in the grid opens edit mode so you can update its title, stage, ink color, or paper type as your project changes. Swiping left on a block in the Blocks tab deletes it, keeping your local collection tidy without extra steps. The Search tab gives you a simple search input above a filtered grid, so you can quickly find blocks by title or dominant ink color. All information is stored locally on your device, which means your block log stays private and available offline while you work in the studio or classroom. The visual design keeps the experience grounded in the printmaking process, with warm paper textures, ink smudge highlights, and a bottom tab bar styled as small brayer roller handles. Carve & Pull is ideal for beginner printmakers, art students, and home studio artists who want a lightweight but practical record of their linocut blocks without unnecessary complexity.
