Really useful to see what's going on per channel and locally. The timeline information is an especially useful tool to communicate to my provider when the issue is a signal rapidly dropping off/on. I like I can remove the noise and see only a selected wifi. (For those who don't know: timeline top swipes left and shows each wifi, and a right click on a single channel let's you show only that one ) It's simple and i get what I need. Thanks!!
It's the best way to check what's going on in the neighborhood and find the best available channel. There's one bug in the app though. The first line in the AP List view shows where the phone is connected. Sometimes, this line switches to "Authenticating" and it stays there forever even if the connection is authenticated and connected. I have to close the app completely and rerun it for the correct indication of the connected network to return.
If network ssid is not broadcast, when using the channel rating and after selecting the AP manually, there is a no signal error. So the app doesn't list better channels. In order to get the latter to work correctly, you have to broadcast the ssid on the network you are analysing. Otherwise great app!
I use it for determining which frequency is little used so that I can set my WiFi to that frequency. Also, sometimes my android refuses to connect to network using standard tools, but will connect using WiFi analyzer
Works great! Helped me fix my WiFi after it suddenly stopped working.. The 2.4 GHz channel 2 was overcrowded and I could only use the 5GHz radio which is not supported by all devices.
No wifi signal in range error message despite of the wifi is alive and connected to internet. I cannot see the available networks nor connect to the internal one. What could be wrong? 😢
