Talea is a thoughtfully designed propagation tracker that transforms the way you log and care for your water-rooted houseplant cuttings. The main view presents your entire collection as a warm wooden tube rack, with each cutting resting inside its own clear glass tube. The water tint inside the tube shifts to match the rooting stage, appearing clear for fresh cuts, pale green while roots are forming, and a gentle amber when the cutting is ready to pot. Adding a new entry is quick and intuitive through a clean form that captures the plant name, an optional parent plant note, the cut date, and the current rooting stage. You can revisit any cutting to edit its details or remove it entirely, keeping your log accurate as your propagation station evolves. The rack screen serves as a complete dashboard, anchored by two corked glass vial counters that display your total number of cuttings and exactly how many have reached the ready-to-pot stage. Near the base of the rack, a small collection of recent additions keeps your newest cuttings in plain sight. The Search tab lets you instantly find a specific plant by name or filter by rooting stage, presenting matching entries as small kraft paper labels marked with the plant name and cut date. In the Water Care tab, the app automatically filters cuttings that need a fresh water change because they haven’t been refreshed in over seven days. Each item includes a simple Water Changed button that records the care with a single tap, so your plants stay on a healthy schedule. Every piece of information you enter is stored locally and privately on your device, requiring no account, no internet connection, and no subscription. Talea offers a calm, visual way to follow each stem’s journey from a freshly taken cutting to a thriving new plant, all while keeping your care routine reliably organized.
