About this app

Fig is a food scanner and discovery tool that helps you find out what you CAN eat at grocery stores and restaurants, regardless of how complex your dietary needs are.

The app is still in beta, but we’re excited to share it with you.

If you have dietary restrictions, you’re probably annoyed by the hours it takes to inspect ingredient labels. Fig (Food is Good) instantly shows you what food you can eat based on your needs, so you can spend fewer hours researching food and more time enjoying it!

- Add ANY ingredient/allergen and 100+ diets to your Fig
- Browse products that work for you at 100+ grocery stores
- Scan product barcodes to check if a product fits your needs
- Create shopping lists to make your grocery shopping easier
- Learn more about confusing ingredients and how they match specific diets

1. Tell Fig how you eat by selecting from 2,000+ diets, food allergies and specific ingredients
2. Browse through products that meet your needs
3. Scan product barcodes to see a green, yellow, or red rating and get recommended alternatives if a product doesn’t work for you

Easy to install setup with starter food restrictions and awesome that you can modify and personalize based off of your own experience. Scanning barcodes and pulling up ingredients is very easy and quick. Saving scanned foods to lists to easily come back to. Very happy with this app after trying a handful that wanted you to pay to scan or other frustrations. Navigating avoiding food issues is hard enough make it easier where you can. Thank you!

I've had this app for a while, and I am very disappointed that a very basic feature is now locked behind a paywall, especially a subscription based one. I understand the need for the app to make money, but I would be much happier making a one-time purchase to access the features rather than pay perpetually when I can read my own food labels with a little more effort.

This app is not only a quick barcode scanner for ingredients that match you diet but also has a great search for what you can eat on special diets. It's easily customized and so far extremely thorough. I'm trying out some temporary elimination diets to heal my gut but I'll probably continue to use it after to quickly spot dairy ingredients that I definitely can't eat. It's been great to quickly adapt to different diets that are confusing and difficult to follow.
