SafePlate is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It reads available ingredient information and highlights matches to the allergen profiles you set up. Always read the manufacturer's label and consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. In an emergency, call your local emergency number; SafePlate does not contact emergency services.
CHECK INGREDIENTS FOR YOUR FAMILY
Scan a barcode or photograph a printed ingredient label. SafePlate checks available information against your selected profile, including common allergen synonyms. If a product is missing or a label cannot be read, the app shows that it could not verify it.
• 14 allergen categories: milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, sesame, mustard, celery, lupin, mollusks and sulfites.
• Custom allergens and severity settings for each profile.
• Product-name search with Open Food Facts.
• A checklist showing detected, possible and unverified allergen findings.
• Saved scan history, product comparison and trends.

• Plate Intel shows individual foods and estimated ingredient notes in a plate photo.
• Food-name corrections and preparation-aware USDA nutrition matching.

IMPORTANT
Camera analysis and product databases can be wrong or incomplete. A result cannot establish allergy safety or detect cross-contact, cooking temperature, doneness, hygiene, freshness, storage conditions or pathogens. Photos cannot reveal every ingredient. Check labels and preparation details before serving food. Shared cards are snapshots, and anyone with a card link can read the details included in it.
