You are a solar-powered craft. The sun is your death timer. Hurtle towards the sunset at breakneck speed in a futile race against time. Delay the inevitable by catching speed boosts which reverse the setting sun - if only for a moment. Race The Sun: Daily Challenge Edition is inspired by arcade games of the past with a focus on high scores, short game sessions, and pure fun mingled with nerve-wracking tension. The rules are simple: don't crash, stay in the light, and don't slow down!

This new edition of the game includes several new features including new alternate ships, colorful new trails, and a new "daily challenge" system that will test the skills of even the most experienced players.

Ratings and reviews

Great, until it wasn't. I got to level 50 and unlocked the arrow ship, loved playing it and customized it heavily. Problem is that bonuses are not honored after watching adds, they conveniently "crash" and leave you with nothing. Tasks aren't saved and sometimes the game refuses to mark as done or doesn't even count them at all! Even more annoying is that sometimes I'll fly through pickup items and they don't work at all! Glad I didn't pay for premium!

It's a fun infinite "racer" game. The simplistic graphics are appealing and keep the system requirements lower, increasing the performance on lower end hardware. The game is far too grindy, it takes a long time playing to get enough points to buy upgrades or new ships. The max rank is currently 25 which I have been at for a long time now, the level cap should be increased. Edit: They increased the level cap and increased the speed of progression, so I'll raise my rating.

Brilliant! beautiful graphics, perfectly smooth, and a joy to play. if you haven't installed it yet, then go do that. one thing I have noticed, is that we have the sunrise mode, but in the normal mode, you can find portals that can take you to a space map, a woodland map, and an underwater one, and probably more that i haven't seen yet. we need gamemodes that have these maps because they look so nice! (also why haven't you installed it yet? go on! stop reading this and go install it!)
