App is too clunky. Everything works, except the firmware updater. I did ran into the clunky or the odd tin like noise from the microphone and speaker on my phone with the camera. As one of the other couple of reviewers pointed out, it does reverberate on your phone Distance and line of sight does not matter. It must be something going on with the actual microphone on the camera itself. Plus, the firmware updater stays at 0.0% despite 30 minutes have passed. Network is fine, no DNS or VPN.

Thank you for providing feedback. The call issue may be caused by the phone being too close to the camera, resulting in a howling sound. I have another camera similar to this one that I got a few years ago and that one has the option to where you can only have it record when motion is detected. this camera doesn't offer any features like that and you basically have to pay in order to watch a live feed and unless you're watching it you can't photograph or record anything. the only alternative is the record in the morning and when I get back home stopped recording and watch hours of footage? no thanks!

I read the feedback. I decided not to install the software and even sign up. I will have a play and see if I can get my camera working without the app. I managed to connect to the WiFi on the camera with my phone (no app) so that gives me a start. thanks to all for putting the honest responses to the z-iot app. I also had no idea I had to subscribe to a service to use the camera.
