Still not great Adding a star here since after a year and a half there was at least some update to the app. I was beginning to wonder if they lost the source code. No notification control for player. Still cheap wrapper around website not a native acting Android app. Seems to cut out less than before although music will stop when I reopen app.
Brilliant and really does help me to focus I was sceptical at first. I've now used it many times. Not sceptical any more. I use it when I have documents to create or reports to write. I find the time flys past and then catch myself looking at the completeness of the work and the high quality. I also find that although having completed significant pieces of work. I am no longer as fatigued as I used to be when working on certain tasks. In Summary. This works for me and I signed up for the life long membership.
Updated review:Don't settle in to doing deep reading or writing without it. Need to update my prior 5 star review. I originally said, "This has had such a favorable influence on my productivity that I invested in the lifetime membership. The desktop version does perform better than the app." The app now regularly crashes especially if I get a notification like a text (Textra app).
Love the web app, but a couple issues with the Android app 1. The app is not visible in the notifications, so I can't stop/start it from the notification screen. 2. The tracks abruptly stop and start . . . that's a distraction itself. This morning I was listening to Cinematic, and it frequently switched tracks mid-stream. It would play a track for a few minutes, then stop right in the middle of a swell, then silence for a few seconds, then start a completely new track.
App needs work I really like the the service itself but the app needs a lot of work. It will constantly stop playing the audio for no reason and/or just lock up. The app is basically a Web browser showing their mobile site and looks awful and is slow to load at times. All they need to do to make this a better app is to make a proper app that caches a little bit of the music so a drop in connection won't break your concentration because the music suddenly stops.
Simple: it still works I have had and have been treated for ADHD for well over 20 years. I've tried all kinds of treatment with varying success. This product has worked for me right from the start. I waited several months before doing this review because of past experience where something worked at first but didn't last. This has been getting MORE effective with time. The crazy sounding beta ADHD selection drives most people nuts-but for me it works great. Streaming is a small limit, but worth it.
