Finding it very good for reading the office text books I have as it shows all the pictures in the book not just parts of them as adobe does. However I can't get the screen to remain on when reading so the screen dims then turns off so I have to keep touching the screen all the time! If anyone knows how to set it so the screen stays awake while reading (even setting the time to sleep screen to a longer period) that would be helpful! Changes made and it's awesome. Preferred pdf reader by far
Better than Adobe reader. Edit: loved it, but the app won't allow me to login to my account. It returns: Aithentication failure. I used my correct info, as it worked on the Windows version. The Android version simply doesn't sign in. The app is also unable to save documents to Dropbox. When selecting the "Save to cloud" option, it doesn't allow you to choose in which online storage folder you'd like to save the document, it simply closes the app. On the positive side, the ability to change the appearance of pdf files is amazing, as is the commenting & signing abilities.
FIXED: Will no longer open any docs I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, and until the latest update, this app worked perfectly for me, allowing for syncing with Dropbox and easy highlighting and notes. After the update, highlighting became more difficult, but no worse than the Kindle app. But for the last few days, this app has refused to open any docs at all. Whether I download them from Dropbox or open them from my device, it always just gives the message, "Unfortunately, Foxit PDF has stopped" and it closes. EDIT: It's been fine for months now!
A truly 5 star app!! I have tried 7 different pdf readers on the Android platform (each of them rated 4 and above on the Play store), and have not found something better suited for my needs. The one thing I think needs to be developed is the ability to manage books and magazines. TY Foxit team
Great! after trying many other apps this one actually allows you to edit text fields without issues! And has Save and Save As menu options..... you'd be amazed the others don't have these basic actions. Brilliant, using on Samsung Tab 4.
There are plenty of pdf readers. Very few allow form filling for free, even then, fewer with no ads or watermarks. Anything else it does is just a plus. You wouldn't believe how many programs, websites and apps I went through to find this gem. I have it on my laptop too. Very happy.
