About this game

Qu'en dit Croche is a musical puzzle game in the match-3 tradition. On a grid of coloured tiles, each tile carries a note. Swap two neighbouring tiles to line up three notes that form a perfect chord, major or minor. The chord lights up, sounds, disappears and earns you points.

C E G for C major, A C E for A minor: inversions count too. Find chords without help to string together combos and push your score up. Your score unlocks new keys and the palette of notes widens as the game goes on.

A counter shows how many chords are still possible on the grid. Stuck? The help suggests one, by ear or by highlighting. Play in French notation (DO RE MI) or English notation (C D E). Every game lasts 5 minutes and is converted into a mark out of 10.

Built for learning: recognise major and minor chords, connect the notes that make them up and train your ear while having fun. Ideal in class as well as at home.
