About this app

FrankWeather is a live radar and severe-weather workstation — the same full-featured app as the Windows desktop version, available to everyone. No ads, no accounts, no tracking.

RADAR LIKE A WEATHER DESK
• Native single-site NEXRAD radar decoded from raw Level III data — exact measured dBZ, velocity, and dual-pol correlation under your finger, four elevation tilts
• Animated radar loop with short-term nowcast, super-res Live HD mosaic, MRMS composite, base velocity, radar archive time machine, and HRRR "future radar"
• GOES satellite (true color + infrared), live lightning with strike trends

SEVERE WEATHER, TAKEN SERIOUSLY
• Watches and warnings drawn as coverage-true polygons, nationwide
• Storm-cell tracks with arrival-time estimates for your saved places
• SPC outlooks, mesoscale discussions, and your location's categorical risk
• Take-cover alarm with distinct tones per hazard, spoken warnings, and Storm Mode — a full-screen countdown + shelter checklist when a warning covers home
• Tropical outlooks and hurricane tracking, wildfire/quake/drought hazard layers

FORECASTS WITH HONEST UNCERTAINTY
• Hour-by-hour and 10-day forecasts (GFS + ECMWF), model-confidence comparison
• Atmosphere profile (sounding-lite), records for this day, sun & moon, air quality, space weather, river gauges

BUILT FOR SAFETY
• All features are included — weather safety shouldn't sit behind a paywall
• Your locations stay on your device; there is no account and no tracking

FrankWeather is not an official emergency-alert source. For life-threatening weather, rely on the National Weather Service, NOAA Weather Radio, and local alerts.

Data: NWS/NOAA, SPC, NHC, RainViewer, NASA GIBS, Open-Meteo, Blitzortung, USGS, OpenStreetMap.
Live NEXRAD radar, NWS alerts, forecasts, storm tracks, and alarms.
