About this app

ZezGesture brings modern, fullscreen navigation gestures to any Android
launcher. Swipe from the left or right edge to go Back. Swipe up from the
bottom for Home. Swipe up and hold for Recents. These gestures work without
ADB. An optional one-time ADB setup can hide the original system navigation
bar so your apps take the whole screen.

It works with **any** launcher — Zez Launcher, your device's home screen, or
anything else. ZezGesture does not replace your home screen; it adds
system-wide edge navigation.

Privacy first
ZezGesture uses Android's Accessibility API solely to detect gestures from the
screen edges and perform the Back, Home, and Recents system actions. It does
**not** read screen content. There are no ads, no analytics,
no accounts, no network access, and no data collected or shared — ever.

Setup takes a minute
1. Enable the ZezGesture accessibility service.
2. Exempt it from battery optimization so the system doesn't kill it.
3. (Optional) Allow navigation bar control with a one-time `adb` grant of
`WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS`, then use the app to hide or restore the bar. The
app re-applies the chosen hidden state after reboot.

Tunable
Every gesture zone is adjustable: edge width, bottom height, swipe distance
for Back and Home, the Recents hold time, and haptic feedback. Tune it to
your grip and your case.

Notes
• Optional navigation bar control requires a one-time `adb` command from a
computer. This grants `WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS`, which ZezGesture uses only
to hide or restore the system navigation bar. The app shows complete grant
and revoke commands. Gestures work without this permission.
• Some devices restrict background services aggressively. If gestures stop,
allow unrestricted background battery use and, where available, lock
ZezGesture in the recents screen.
• ZezGesture is a companion to Zez: Minimalist Launcher but works standalone
with any launcher.
