About this app

Fretmancer is an offline workbench for setting up guitars and basses, and for remembering what you did last time.

It keeps a record per instrument, so the next setup starts from what you already measured instead of from scratch. No account, no ads, no subscription.

FREE, FOREVER

• Chromatic tuner. Microphone based, accurate to the cent, with a range that covers bass.
• String tension calculator. Enter gauge, scale length and target pitch to get tension per string plus the set total.
• Factory spec lookup. Published action, relief and radius figures, taken from manufacturer documentation.

FRETMANCER PRO (ONE-TIME UNLOCK)

• Per-instrument profiles. Each guitar or bass keeps its own scale length, string set and target spec.
• Dated maintenance history. Every setup you record stays as a snapshot you can go back to.
• Guided setup walkthrough. Truss rod relief, saddle action, nut height and intonation in dependency order. Change something early and the later steps get flagged for recheck.
• Intonation checker. Compares your fretted note against the open string in cents, so you can see which way the saddle needs to move.
• PDF setup sheets. Export what you measured, then share or archive it.

OFFLINE

There is no server, no login and no cloud sync. Your instruments and your logs sit on your device and nowhere else, and everything keeps working with the network off.

The microphone is only used for pitch detection, in memory. Audio isn't recorded or stored, and nothing gets transmitted.

What’s new
