Remarkably gorgeous game with a fantastic soundtrack--both of which are constantly being interrupted by ads. A level can take you roughly 30 seconds to win, between each level is usually a 30 second ad. If you die during that 30 seconds and restart, you'll get another 30 second ad. If you win the level, you get another 30 second ad. The skip and exit buttons on the ads are ridiculously small, therefore you'll likely be clicking on them. In addition, the switch between the game and the ad takes a couple seconds as well. Long story short: 5 minutes of this gorgeous game is 2.5 minutes of gameplay and you can confidently expect to watch 2.5 minutes of advertisements.
"Play like it was designed." For five dollars! If you don't feel like handing over five dollars for a game that lacks a cohesive plot, then you'll have to endure a 30 second ad every time you complete a level, which takes about a minute, or die after 30 seconds. They say that they need the ads to pay costs for players who don't choose to pay. Here's an idea, put an actual price on the game from the beginning, and don't ruin a beautiful game with ads. Any idea of what is actually going on would be nice too.
This is a great game fun and addictive, great graphics and sounds. Wonderfully atmospheric game. I usually do not do in app purchases but I was having so much fun with this I HAD to buy the full version, well worth the money. And now they have added a level editor and level creator so there are endless possibilities as I already got through both days and the extra levels I can keep playing this awesome game forever. Sometimes a little frustrating to get through but not impossible
"Just one more level..." Badland is what inspired me to create the world for the story I'm writing. The beautiful graphics of the game drew me in from the first sight. When my mobile career was offering a free coupon for a single app, it was the full version of Badland I spent it on. Not because it's the best game on the Play Store. Not because it has the most gripping story (it doesn't have one actually). But because it inspired me. It gave me that one slight (or maybe enormous) push to start worldbuilding. Thank you!
Reminds me of Limbo. Both fantastic games...this one may have way more replay value for me. Just finished the 40 day 1 levels only to find out theres a total of 192...definitely going to buy this game. If you have not please go ahead and buy it...4$ to support these developers is worth it for the possibility future games and just the work they put in for this one in general!!!
Awesome What is this? What do I do? What am I? Ahhh! Oh cool, am I invincible? What is that? Am I a bug? Jeez now I look like a giant flying afro! ...And that's how I felt when I got dropped into the Badland. Beautiful, easy to learn, challenging, and infinitely replayable. The developers deserve the praise they have received for this game, but it really lacks a plot except for "save the clones". Multiplayer is phenomenal on tablets even for 4 players, great on phones for two.
- Eternal Day now has a selection of 40 of the best of the best levels. They feature creativity, playfulness and thinking outside the box to create something new and interesting within the BADLAND mechanics.
- Go check out the crazy levels from Eternal Day!
- Editor: Linker now works properly with Clony
- Fixed some impossible missions in Coop
- A bunch of smaller fixes
Huge thanks for creating already more than 70 000 levels (and counting) and for all your feedback and support!
