Made for Casual Fun and Practice
This game is designed for relaxing card fun and improving your play:
Simple interface
Clean visuals
Comfortable play sessions
Helpful flow for both beginners and experienced players
1) Setup
4 players, in 2 teams (partners sit opposite each other).
Uses a 32-card deck: A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7.
2) Deal (typical Classic Belote)
Each player first receives 5 cards.
One card is turned face up (used for choosing trump).
After a trump is chosen, everyone receives the remaining cards to have 8 cards total.
3) Choose Trump (Bidding)
Belote is a contract game: one team “takes” the hand by choosing the trump.
Typical flow:
Round 1: each player either Pass or Accept the face-up suit as trump.
If all pass:
Round 2: players may choose a different suit as trump (and the taker also takes the face-up card).
In this app, you can also play No Trump and All Trump modes (and Coinche variants).
4) Playing Tricks (8 tricks per hand)
Players play one card each per trick.
Usually: follow the led suit if you can; otherwise play a trump if you have one.
The highest trump wins; if no trump is played, the highest card of the led suit wins.
5) Scoring (simple version)
In a standard suit (trump) game, there are 162 trick points in total, including +10 for the last trick.
Card points (most common French values):
Non-trump: A=11, 10=10, K=4, Q=3, J=2, 9/8/7=0
Trump: J=20, 9=14, A=11, 10=10, K=4, Q=3, 8/7=0
Last trick bonus: +10
Contract result (win/lose the hand)
The team that took trump must score at least 82 points to succeed (common rule).
If they fail, the other team gets the hand’s points (common rule).
6) “Belote” bonus (if enabled)
If a player holds King + Queen of trumps, they can declare “Belote” for a bonus (often +20). (Some apps/tables may handle declarations slightly differently.)
7) Coinche (very simple)
Coinche is a competitive variant where bids can be doubled (and sometimes redoubled), making the hand worth more.
