Buffer, buffer, buffer, that's all this app can do. I've had the app in the past and it worked pretty good, coming back to it now all it does is load over and over. I don't have problems streaming any other app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared the cache, cleared the data and none of it helped. The tv app doesn't work with my Amazon Firestick either, same buffering issue. I'll have to wait a year or so for Netflix to air current season of AHS as I cerainly can't watch it on your app.
WOW, your rating keeps dropping! Can't you fix your own app? Reinstalled twice, still will not run. "Cannot connect with Fx servers", although all other apps connect and run fine. With so many recent Fx reviews rated 1-star, the Fx app is obviously broken. Why not own up to it, as responsible people would do? Update: I translate their response below to mean "we know our app doesn't work, but we don't know how to fix it. We hope that by responding, we will appear less apathetic than we are incompetent". Result: the app still doesn't work.
EDIT: I tried the techniques suggested to me by the reply to this comment and it might help for 20-30 min, but it's not a long term fix. I tested my internet speed which averaged 24 mbps (the help guide says it requires only 1 mbps). Don't waste your money on this service until they fix the app. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The commercials I can deal with, but the app buffers so much on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A that its barely worth it. Just tried to watch a movie and it buffered every 10-20 seconds. Its not even that great when using my roku. Never have these problems with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, or HBOGo, so I know its not my device or connection.
I downloaded this on my phone after it stopped working on my roku. And it's taken me 3 hours to watch a 45 minute episode. Constantly buffering and the roku app won't even load the episode. My Internet is good at home (I have no issues with hulu, netflix, etc.) and I have unlimited data on my phone.
I thought FX would save me money but I am buying the shows I want to watch off Amazon anyway because the app just doesn't work. It buffers and buffers and I am so disappointed. Hey FX, I have paid Amazon almost $40 for your shows this season. I would love to use your app instead.
I have tried to use this app on multiple occasions and it stops to load roughly every 30 seconds. I am not exaggerating. The longest I have ever had it go without loading is 39 seconds. I have no problem with Hulu, Netflix, or YouTube, so I know it's not my data or my wifi. This app is incredibly frustrating. I have given up on it. The only reason I gave this app one star is that zero stars was not an option.
