Familiar with that dreaded language learning phase of having to sound like a 3-year-old long enough to make actual progress? TVÍK is here to make sure you do not have to do that in front of real, scary people. TVÍK is built by humans who went through the dreaded process of learning Icelandic by themselves and know exactly what's missing.

TVÍK takes you through 84 realistic simulations. You'll get to go on adventures, meet TVÍK's friends, there will be drama, and there will be Gunnar. You'll learn the Icelandic of the streets, not the Icelandic taught in books. There is a soundtrack. Almost everything is a button, too!

Aside from simulations, TVÍK comes with a full language learning gym to make sure you flex your brain muscles and transfer new knowledge into long-term memory, and a Toolbox to make sure you've got easy access to all of your Icelandic resources.

I have completed icelandic 1,2 and 3 in classrooms and from the moment I started using this app it all clicked so much more. I love the fact that you're having conversations AT YOUR OWN PACE and can translate each word as you go, and get given context for the sentence. What a fantastic labour of love this has been for the dev, I am learning so much especially around grammar and bending the words. Even better- if you are in Iceland your union will refund most of the cost of the 12 month license!

Hi, I am user of that app for 3 weeks. Unfortunately it's just another app like Bara Tala where you guys are pushing grammar on people. And we just want to talk and understand, simple stuff. Same is happening in irl schools in Iceland. There is still missing app like duolingo where we could in funny easy way be familiar with new and new vocabulary, without rules etc. It is really not necessary when learn new language to know all of the rules. Like kids when they are young.

I've been trying for years to learn Icelandic as I'm married to an Icelander. This app has done more to teach me in a way I understood than anything else I've tried so far. I highly recommend it if you're serious about learning the language. The developers have been great and very responsive as well. Overall, it's a great experience.
