Start gently in Junior Mode.
Core Cutter is a touch-first neon arcade game with calm play for younger players, local challenges for older minors, and an optional online scoreboard for adults.
JUNIOR MODE FOR AGES 0–8
Junior Mode keeps every board simple and encouraging:
• One large eight-segment ring on one layer
• Slow ring motion, generous tap-or-swipe targeting, and no-loss play
• A generous 60-second uncut window to make each cut
• No damage, defeat, energy penalty, armor, black-and-yellow warning blockers, extra layers, or pickups; board 300 ends with a celebratory local FULL CLEAR
• No background music, with only soft built-in feedback
• Junior gameplay stays local, with no public Name or ranking activity
LOCAL FAMILY PLAY
A neutral on-device age check asks for month, day, and year, uses it only to select a local player category, and immediately discards the date. A parent or guardian creates a local PIN for every under-18 profile and must use that PIN to change profiles.
Players ages 9–17 use the standard game locally. Their gameplay, scores, and profile details stay on the device. Under-18 profiles cannot open the global leaderboard, choose a public Name, create an online identity, or upload a ranked score.
STANDARD ARCADE CHALLENGE
Cut the flashing cyan opening before each collapsing neon ring crushes the core. Later boards add faster patterns, black-and-yellow striped warning blockers, armored sectors, and multiple layers. Every layer can carry the same hazards. Slice every warning blocker before cutting the cyan opening on that layer. Repair, Shield, Stasis, and 2× Score pickups blink on and off only on the innermost ring, while Pulse Slow remains available from the controls.
Standard play draws from 14 family-safe music tracks, 31 family-safe sound effects for interactions, and a dedicated losing-ending explosion effect. Music reshuffles between boards without immediate repeats. When the core is crushed, a full-screen blast ends on white and fades into the leaderboard for eligible adult profiles. Junior Mode remains background-music-free.
OPTIONAL ADULT GLOBAL RANKINGS
Players age 18 or older may review an online-safety reminder, choose a public Name, and join the verified global leaderboard. Ranked adult runs are checked by the server before placement. Adults can report a Name for review or hide a player on their own device.
Assist mode supports local practice and accessibility but does not submit ranked scores.

• Internet required only for adult global rankings and Google Play update checks
