About this game

[Incremental Tower Defense with Build Variety]
Outhold is a short, strategic incremental game that blends tower defense with a deep meta-progression. Experiment with builds and find overpowered synergies to defend the dwindling fires of Outhold.

[Addictive Game Loop]
Start a run, see how far you get. Use your collected resources to buy upgrades and try again. Become powerful enough to obliterate everything coming against you.

[Deep Upgrade Tree]
Create unique builds that fit your playstyle. Experimentation is rewarded, and all upgrades can be refunded for free.

[Strategize]
Focus on upgrading just one specific tower, or find unique tower synergies. There are many ways to progress through Outhold, the choice is up to you.

There are some cool concepts in this game, but the primary gameplay element (the tech tree) is not comfortable to read and engage with on my phone. I also feel like there isn't enough room to experiment during a run; you have to get it just right in the tech tree in advance, or nothing you try in the run changes you chance of success by much.

Is the game "good"? Yes. Does the game run perfectly? No, it desperately needs a potato mode for the last 3-4 levels. Just to finish this off, yes you will need to use brain in order to do some of the challenges. To be honest, this game should have been priced at around the 1.99/1.50 mark. They also need to add a second ending level that functions as another survival map. (Maybe with 6+ routes instead of 4?) AND before I forget, no the game's controls aren't flawless.

I really liked this game it was so much fun to 100% but when I did I felt that the game was unfinished like there was more to unlock because your left with about 50k in the triangles and squares and 9 stars and 1 crown which is just unsatisfying after about 6 hours of play but then not having as much content as I thought it would. If more content comes and you use up all the extra currency I will change my review to 5 stars. Do not delete the game unless you want to replay the game over again.
