Had to allow location permission before app would connect to the socks. To save battery on a hike, I turn gps off until it is needed. Developers claim no data is collected or shared; but 20 or 30 seconds after I turn off my phones location the app can no longer see the socks. Turn the phone's location on, and magically the app that doesn't collect data somehow can see the socks again. I made no app permission changes. I doubt anyone verified the app doesn't collect or share data.

The 1st time I ran the app a sign in screen appeared. It asked for name, gender, phone #, and email. Within 10 minutes I received 12 SPAM emails to that address. In 5 minutes I received a SCAM text saying my debit card had been compromised and to call a provided number. That text was from MY OWN PHONE NUMBER! I called my bank. No compromised. Now a screen appears saying to turn on WiFi and mobil data. So beware of this app. Control your socks from the batteries if you have that option.

Connected right away. Very intuitive to use. Works great to control sock functions. The only problem I see is that you have to hibernate the app to turn the socks off using the app. Otherwise, it's a really nice option for controlling your heated socks.
