I see I'm not the only one having issues. App hasn't backed up my data for months now! It crashes regularly. It wiped out years of old backed up data! Been using this app for many years. Back when they didn't force a monthly fee after you've already paid the one time $100 fee for unlimited storage! Talking to customer service solves nothing! All you get is repetitive instructions that never solve anything! Updates haven't fixed the issues. GET IT TOGETHER! Your paying customers deserve it!

Getting better 10/11: Somehow, y'all managed to break it more than it already was. I was finally able to manually force a backup, although it took hours for it to run. Now, back to nothing. Same as everyone else, greyed out data selection and selecting backup closes the app. No, I will not contact support because I've done everything you've said a hundred times. Never would expect this from a major company like Google in 2024. Time to find a new cloud service and hope y'all haven't lost my data.

Have had two phones bricked by construction accidents. G cloud backup has allowed me to recover not only the normal apps, contacts and data, but the extremely valuable messages that are not backed up by Android. Also great as a migration tool from old phone to new. I have not used it for anything but mobile. There are lots of ways to receive additional space for free. Admittedly, this review is one of them, but I have been very happy with the g cloud service so at least it's honest.
