Screenshots pile up. Hundreds of them, all mixed together in one endless roll — the recipe from Reddit, the address someone sent on WhatsApp, that error message you meant to look up. You know you took it. You just can't find it.

Screenshot Sort fixes that in the simplest way possible: it groups your screenshots by the app they came from. Automatically. You don't tag anything, you don't sort anything. Take a screenshot, and it lands in the right place.

And when you don't remember which app it was, only what it said, you can search the words inside your screenshots. Type a price, a name, an address — matches come back from every app at once, including shots you took long before you installed this app.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Everything happens on your phone. This app does not request the internet permission, so nothing can be uploaded — not your screenshots, not the text read from them, not your app usage, not anything.

• No ads, no analytics, no trackers
• Text recognition runs entirely on your device. The text it reads is stored only on your phone, and turning search off deletes it
• Your screenshots are never copied, moved, or modified — the app only keeps a local index of where each one came from
• Deleting always goes through Android's own confirmation and trash, so nothing disappears without your say-so

ABOUT PERMISSIONS

Photo access is needed to find your screenshots. Usage access is optional — it's checked only at the moment a screenshot is taken, to tell which app was on screen. Your usage history is never stored or uploaded. Without it, the app still works; sources just show as unknown. Search needs no permission of its own.

What’s new

• Select all, in a group's selection bar. Clearing out a source with more than a screenful of screenshots no longer means tapping every one of them; tapping it again clears the selection.
