I've been using iRead for my own EPUBs and it’s honestly become one of my favorite reading apps. The best part is being able to turn books I already have into audiobooks with natural-sounding voices, then keep listening with the screen locked. Everything works offline and stays on the phone, which I really like. No ads, no subscription, just a simple reader that does what I need.

Really nice ebook reader. I mostly use it to listen to EPUBs I already have, and the voices sound surprisingly natural. It keeps reading with the screen locked too, which is probably my favorite part. Simple, smooth, and no annoying ads.

Been using iRead for my EPUBs and web novels and it’s been great. The background read-aloud is especially useful — I can lock my phone and just keep listening. Importing books is easy, and it always remembers where I left off. Clean, practical reader.

What’s new

• The Pro screen now has a Listen button: hear every voice free before deciding. Tapping it pauses the book you are listening to and takes you to the voice list.
