About this app

SolSync is a light-hygiene app for sunlight. It follows sunrise, solar noon, and sunset, names your solar phase, and pairs morning light with evening wind-down.

Educational only, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Vitamin D figures are educational approximations, not lab results and not a dose.

☀️ Solar phases and the daily sun plan

Phases run from dawn and sunrise through morning, UVB rise, solar noon, afternoon, sunset, dusk, and night. Each phase has a short note and an approximate wavelength mix, not a spectrometer.

The daily sun plan (Premium) is timed to your location and a goal: sleep, energy, mood, vitamin D (educational), or consistency. Fitzpatrick skin type only changes the educational midday length.

• Morning light after sunrise, for circadian rhythm and daytime alertness
• A short midday window near solar noon, when the UV index is usually higher
• Evening light around sunset, as a softer step toward sleep

Energy and mood goals can add a short afternoon reset. Tomorrow's windows show the evening before.

Session logging, alarms, and history are Premium

Session logging is a timer. Categories: morning circadian, midday vitamin D, evening wind-down, or custom. Set cloudiness and skin exposure. The live IU estimate uses UV index, minutes, exposure, cloud cover, and skin type, and it is an educational approximation only.

Light-window alarms mark sunrise, midday (solar noon), and evening, on time or 15 or 30 minutes before or after. They stay on your device and are wellness cues, not treatment alerts.

History stores sessions, today's minutes, the educational IU total, a 7-day chart, and a streak of logged days. Export a CSV.

Sunlight and safety

Sun exposure can burn and damage skin. SolSync does not recommend burning. Ask a healthcare professional for personal medical advice. Diet, latitude, and health all affect vitamin D, and this app does not measure them.

Sun times and solar phases are calculated on your device. UV index, clouds, and temperature come from a weather service for your coordinates.
Daily sun plan for sunrise, UV, and circadian light hygiene. Educational.
