Absolutely the best app for accessing my media server. Made even better recently with the addition of the ability to use external players like VLC. Not that I don't like the built in players, I actually prefer them, but they don't have the codec support like VLC does, I have lots of older stuff that won't play on the built in ones.

I wish this was available for other devices than TV, this is an amazing frontend for Jellyfin and has become my default. One of the few pieces of software where my family just instantly switched without any convincing.

I used Jellyfin for years now. Constant freezes, desynced subtitles, and lots of weirdness. I kept debugging the server, with no success, eventually just accepting that Android devices just don't play nice with Jellyfin servers. Installed this app, and all playback is flawless now. No freezes, subtitles work perfectly, instant playback start. it even has some really nice extra features (like fetch subtitles, a feature I really missed from my Plex days, and Seerr integration). Really nice work.
