Not precise enough. Certain albums are difficult to get right. For example, I have the 3 vinyl versions of Beatles Abbey Road and I got different results scanning each disc. I'm still not sure I have the correct one. For my 96 "White Album I found I could scan the matrix and it found it, but that doesn't work much). It has pretty much sent me to Discogs. no label scan, but way more detailed, has a barcode search for newer stuff, and is free.

This could be a handy tool, but also dangerous for a new collector. I would do the work to find out if your records are valuable, especially if you plan on selling them. I've been collecting for 30 years and I am still learning. This app is a fun novelty to play with but I will be canceling before the free trial is up. Discogs and a little knowledge is way bettr choice!

Quick and easy to use, but I have a few caveats: I have doubts about the app's ability to discern between vintage and reissue records, the prices seem arbitrarily applied since I had to scan a record twice, and got two different dollar amounts two minutes apart. Also, there's no mechanism for cataloging picture disks that have no labels to scan. And as other's have pointed out in thier reviews, being asked to rate and review the app every 5 minutes gets really old, really fast!
