About this game

Take on the role of the captain of a pirate ship and go in search of adventure!

"Captain's Choice" is a unique visual novel that combines fantasy and real-life historical events. You will have to go from being a simple boy from a coastal town to the legendary admiral of pirates. You will have to make crucial decisions that determine the fate of the world at every step!

Captain's Choice's motto is that every decision has consequences that must be accepted with honor! In this quest, your decisions directly affect the course of events. It's up to you to determine who is destined to live to the end of history, and who will remain at rest under the sea among the losers and mythical monsters.

When deciding the fate of the world, you should not forget about your personal life. Any captain should have someone waiting for him on shore. You'll meet many beautiful companions along the way, but who will be the only one for you? A merchant's daughter, a dashing sailor, a witch, a daughter of an Indian chief, or a ghost of a girl from the underworld? Or maybe you don't want to leave anyone out? In this case, you should insure your life in the nearest port ...

Immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of the eighteenth century! The War of Spanish Succession is tearing apart the New World and the entire Atlantic - but for privateers, this is just another excuse to fill the holds with gold. Which captain would you rather be? A ruthless and unscrupulous corsair, robbing everyone in his path? Or a noble privateer fighting at sea for the freedom of his homeland? It's up to you to decide! Depending on your decisions, you will make many friends and enemies, including getting to know the famous eighteenth-century pirates personally - Blackbeard, Henry Morgan and many others.

The sea will not conquer itself, so do not hesitate and raise the Jolly Roger over the mast! May luck smile on you, may you bathe in gold and glory!

In The Captain's Choice, you'll find:
- 10 exciting story chapters,
- more than 1,000 random events on land and sea,
- 5 female companions open to romance,
- dozens of mythical creatures and sea monsters,
- establishing a personal pirate settlement,
- running a dystopian alchemist farm raising outlandish herbs and selling potions.

The game's alright, it starts out pretty good. Although once you set sail it just repeats the same events over and over, it gets incredibly boring due to nothing ever changing. I simply gave up at that part even though I wanted to know what was next! There should be less repeating events and more unique ones, or at least stop it from repeating so much.

Amazing game. Great story. Lots of options with different roads it can take you. Including consequences for certain choices. The reason I give it a 3 star, aside from the grinding of chapter 5 and 6, is the extreme grammar issues in chapter 7. These games always have grammar issues but I literally dont know what their saying most the times in chapter 7. Like it was copy and pasted from a translator. Devs, please review and update the grammar issues.

It's an interesting game, I enjoyed playing. I barely started Deck two when I quit. In deck one it had me play through a bunch of the scenes again before giving me the option to move on. In deck two my ship is constantly destroyed, I have no money, I lost over 200 reputation for making smart decisions, I blew through hundreds of crew, and just like in deck one it says I have multiples of the first 17 herbs but it won't let me scroll through more than 4 to make potions.
