Was curious to play this so many years later. Well, 25 seasons later and I guess I'm as addicted as I was at 11! My only gripe is that the goals scored by each player are wrong. Most seasons my team score 30-50 goals but the individual player totals are over 70. Often after the first game where you may have scored 2 goals, there are 4 scorers and such. The other thing is appearances would be good, and longer seasons.

Purchased this on my Spectrum, then my C64, my iPad, and now, on my Android phone. This is, without a doubt, one of the GREATEST GAMES ever written, and has spawned an entire industry by itself. No ads, no distractions, no excel sheets to manage your players, just the pure choice of balancing player skill and fitness levels. Simple. Effective. Astoundingly addictive. I have only two small gripes with the game when playing on a phone. The players are barely visible. Perhaps they are too small. The other is more of a nostalgia thing. 8-bit chunky fonts please! Other than these small (personal) options, there is nothing to add. Superb.

Heard your interview on the retro hour podcast. Nice port of the game. Barely remember playing this back in the day. Had football director, which was more or less a ripoff of this. It would be nice to have a retire function so you can get a rundown on all the players you managed, goals scored, seasons played, games played. That sort of thing.
