About this app

Restrack Gambia app is developed by The Gambia National Health Laboratories to track the movement of referral samples from lower facilities through the hub to the reference laboratories. The app also tracks the test results from the reference testing laboratory back to the requesting facility.
The main objective is to improve the efficiency of the National Sample and Results Transport Network (NSRTN) and the following specific objectives;
i. To reduce the number of samples lost in transport since the solution introduces accountability at various nodes involved in the handling of the samples.
ii. Support logistics planning, support outbreak sample management, and confirmation.
iii. Monitor samples, test results, lab logistics as they move through the National Sample and Results Transport Network (NSRTN).

What’s new

The system is to address the gap of tracking referral specimens collected from lower health facilities to reference testing labs.
