About this app

Turn paperwork into a private, searchable document vault.

ScanInsight helps you organize and search documents stored on your Android device. Scan receipts, letters, contracts, invoices, and notes, or import existing PDF, image, TXT, DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX files.

Your Documents. Your Device. Your Control.

Permanent document files and the local database are stored in encrypted form on your device. ScanInsight does not provide a cloud document library, and no online user account is required.

Core document features work offline. Document files remain within ScanInsight unless you explicitly open them in a third-party app, share them, or export them. Recognized text may also leave the app when you explicitly copy it and paste it outside ScanInsight. Temporary working and cache files remain in operating-system-sandboxed storage and may be removed automatically or through the cleanup controls in Settings.

Private Document Productivity

ScanInsight combines document scanning, offline OCR, PDF tools, encrypted local storage, and full-text search in one workspace—keeping personal records and business documents under your control.

ScanInsight Pro

The free version supports up to 5 stored documents. Optional ScanInsight Pro access unlocks:

• Storage for more than 5 documents
• Tags and advanced search filters
• Document deletion and management

Monthly and annual subscriptions and a one-time purchase option may be available. Current availability, prices, and billing terms are displayed through Google Play before purchase. Google Play manages subscription renewals and cancellations.

The one-time purchase provides a personal licence to use Pro features for the supported lifetime of the ScanInsight Android product—not the purchaser’s lifetime. It has no recurring fee. Terms apply.

Privacy, Diagnostics, and Network Access

Network connections may occur for Google Play purchases, secure entitlement verification, limited Google ML Kit diagnostics and usage analytics, Google Play reviewer access where applicable, and when opening legal, subscription-management, or support resources.

Document files, page images, generated previews, and extracted OCR text are not sent to the ScanInsight entitlement-verification service, Google, or another external server for document processing.

On-Device OCR

OCR processing runs locally using Google ML Kit. OCR input images and recognized text are processed on the device and are not sent to Google or GOLDWAVE DYNAMICS LIMITED for OCR processing.

SDK Diagnostics

Google states that ML Kit collects limited device information, application information, per-installation identifiers, performance metrics, API configuration, feature input and output sizes, feature versions, event types, and error codes for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google states that this information is encrypted in transit and is not transferred by ML Kit to third parties.

Important Accuracy Notice

OCR, document previews, and file conversions may be incomplete or inaccurate depending on image quality, language, formatting, fonts, and file complexity. Always compare extracted or converted information with the original document before using it for legal, medical, financial, tax, compliance, or other important decisions.
