It's an ok app but won't learn enough. It shows you a picture with the German work but without the gender/der die das which is a major part of the language. It's basically a flash card with half the word. It also doesn't tell you the English word. Especially with the insects the cute little picture gave me no clue what it was supposed to be (locust). I had to look it up. It did give a good pronunciation of the alphabet although I'm still having a hard time hearing the difference between E and I

Just like every other educational app, this is riddled with ads every few seconds. You can't even decide if the app is worth paying for with an ad every few seconds. Apps used to give you a trial period to get hooked on it then introduce ads but no, now the idea is to annoy you into purchasing in order to get ride of the app. But why pay for something you haven't properly tested? Deleted it after 30 seconds. I didn't even finish the first lesson. Do not waste your time.

Hi Lynnessa, sorry the ads gave you such a bad first impression 😔 We only show them after finishing a lesson so they don’t interrupt learning. They help us keep the app free, and you can remove them anytime with a small one-time payment to support the app.

I opened the app and the first thing I noticed is a mistake. The pronunciation of some numbers is wrong, I don't know if there are other mistakes because I haven't used it further. The pronunciaton of 20,21,30,etc is wrong. The 'g' in Zwansig, sounds like 'sh' but your app pronunces it as 'k'.

Hi Sheida 😊 thank you for your message, the final “g” in words like zwanzig can sound different depending on the region, sometimes closer to “-ish” and in other areas more like a soft “-ik”. We appreciate your feedback 🙌 If you have any suggestions, feel free to write to us at hello@gonliapps.com
