We believe that Christians, no matter where they are from, should be able to attend Mass, both in person or digitally when needed. Our mission became a reality when the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) asked Michael McManus a simple question.

“How can we present the Catholic Church on television?”

In March of 1998, a tradition was born when Bishop John Sherlock, the first Chair of the National Catholic Broadcasting Council (NCBC), celebrated Mass at St, Michael’s Cathedral and broadcasted it across Canada.

Pope Francis said that the Mass is the very mystery at the centre of our salvation. The National Catholic Broadcasting Council has been connecting the Catholic faithful together through the mystery that is the Daily TV Mass since 1988.

With the assistance of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) and the leadership of the late Bishop John Sherlock, Michael McManus, our founding Executive Director, worked with a team of people to bring the Mass to TV each day reaching Catholics across Canada.

With the invention of the internet the reach of the Daily TV Mass is now worldwide and our commitment remains to build the community of the faithful by keeping them connected. The Daily TV Mass keeps tens of thousands of faithful Catholics connected with our faith and community.

Listening to the Daily TV mass is ever so delightful as it brings about an element of hope, comfort, and encouragement, especially living in a broken world. hat I could not speak to either of them due to privacy and security reasons.

A very great way to help bridge the gap between the Church and fallen off Catholics. The sermons are often uplifting and moving.
