Simple and small app to boost your speaker or headphone sound volume. Useful for movies, audio books and music.

Use at your own risk. Playing audio at high volumes, especially for a prolonged amount of time, can destroy speakers and/or damage hearing. Some users HAVE reported destroyed speakers and earphones. If you hear distorted audio, lower the volume (but it may be too late).

By installing this application you agree that you will not hold its developer responsible for any damage to hardware or hearing, and you are using it at your own risk. Consider this to be experimental software.

Not all devices support this software. Try it at your own risk and see if yours works.

This app does not work on most 4.2.1-4.3 devices. It should work on 4.4 and higher, as well as on devices below 4.2.1.

This is not for adjusting the speakerphone volume in phone calls (that has its own boost, I think), but for adjusting the volume of music, movies and apps.

When you set the boost to zero, Volume Booster will be off. The notification icon is just for ease of launching. If you don't like seeing the notification icon when Volume Booster is off, just go to Volume Booster's Settings and set it to appear only when Volume Booster is running.

I was washing clothes. Then had the clothes in the dryer about 15 minutes when I realised my earplugs were still in my pocket. When I put them on and turned on a song, I could barely hear it. I tried downloading 2 other sound boosters before this one. Their files were too large. I would have had to delete an app. So then downloadind this one. It worked. And it works great. Thanks

All it did was overdrive the speakers to distortion. Android sucks that you can't go handsfree in a car and actually make a call. This app was no help and was not a remedy. As soon as you activate the settings menu the app deactivates and resets sound. It shuts off the 'boost' and there is no live adjustment of settings. You must reboot your phone each time you make a level change for it to take effect.

This app works great! For a bit. It slowly turns down your volume over time to the point that closing the "volume booster" will result in your volume going up. Idk why you programmed the app like this but it's really frustrating. Edit: I'm coming back several months later and this hasn't been fixed. A "volume booster" will actually lower your max volume over time. Absolute trash programming. Whoever made this app should be embarrassed at what a extortionary app they've made.
