Ratings and reviews

I've been using GoodReads forever. In that time the app has never changed. Theres so much improvement that could be done. If you want to do the very basic on your account, then it's fine. But navigating MANY of its features is not possible in the app. You have to use the desktop version. Months ago I even wrote GoodReads about a bug I found. They said they had been aware of it. It still hasn't been fixed.

I've used the app / website for 10 years, and I've never had a problem with either one. I've tried other apps like Storygraph and Fable, but it doesn't feel the same. I also really like the idea of achievement bookmarks when you read / finish books. It's honestly a really nice touch, and I always look forward to getting the achievements.

This app is falling behind with no decent updates in the past few years. Considering the popularity of it, it seems odd how no one running this app has put any innovation behind it. There are several glitches like it taking you into desktop mode (without you promoting it) from the app, not being able to be many of the functions from the app that you can do from the website, coupled with the poor layout that make me look for an alternative.
