About this app

The GoodSAM Responder App is a professional deployment system used by Emergency Services around the world.

GoodSAM provides a range of solutions connecting those with specific skill sets to those in need, for example:

- GoodSAM Cardiac – This system is used by ambulance services to alert those trained in resuscitation (e.g. off duty paramedics, nurses, doctors, police and fire staff) to those nearby who are likely to be in cardiac arrest. This system has saved many lives around the world.
- GoodSAM Volunteer Response – GoodSAM is a platform used by organisations such as the Royal Voluntary Service and British Red Cross.
- GoodSAM Pro – This is a professional dispatch system for community first responders and the emergency services.

The App utilises the latest in location technology and has many advanced features including a built in “radio” (Buzz) function so you can communicate with surrounding colleagues.

The GoodSAM platform has saved hundreds of lives and helped many thousands of people around the world. If you can help your community, please download the App and register under your parent organisation (or get your parent organisation on board if they are not on!).

Slider does not work so can't change accuracy. It's stuck in the same position. Have over 10 defibs registered in my good Sam account and still don't show on the map. They've been registered for over a year. Reported duplicates many times and still not removed. Support don't respond to emails so have given up contacting.

Hi Alan, some organisations lock down the accuracy settings and dont allow their responders to change the settings (this is true with SAS who you have registered with) and sorry to hear about your enquiry not being responded to. Despite having millions of users, we do reply to every single enquiry unless the tone or the language is not appropriate.

Why can I not find the app in my app list? A more complicated process to go into Google play every time I want to set on or off call. **EDIT** NONE of those things work. Can only access through playstore **EDIT 2** The app is called GoodSam. But it is called "responder" in the app list. FFS.

Hi Matthew, there should be an icon right on your home screen unless you have deleted the shortcut. Here is a guide on how to recover your app icons: https://www.guidingtech.com/fix-missing-app-icons-android

This App is a great invention to provide first response until emergency services arrive. But I don't like the newly added icon adding to the clutter in the status bar and the on duty feature. How can somebody not be on duty having first aid skills? Notifications can be turned off for people who don't want to be bothered by someone with a medical emergency.

What's new

This new update provides a new “Lone Working” module to improve volunteer and responder safety. This especially applies to our NHS Volunteer responders. If you’re going into someone’s house for example, simply set the duration of time you intend to be there for as you go in. At the end of that time, the system will check you have left. If you haven’t or don’t respond, a safeguarding process is started to ensure you are safe.
