What We Are About

Our app is about bringing more accountability and transparency to our political process. According to Congress and our Supreme Court, corporations are people. We hope that if enough citizens use our app when deciding what to purchase, more corporations will be incentivized to get out of politics. We see this as a way to give real people a louder voice.

How We Vet The Political Donations

Our team has spent thousands of hours vetting companies’ political donations with the tools available to us, and we’ll continue refining our data to ensure our results are as accurate as possible. So far, we’ve focused on organizations’ spending in federal elections, and our next step will be to vet state expenditures.

Ratings and reviews

The quiz to rate yourself is kinda dumb. Because it does not take into account how much you use a business. Such as the fact that I buy groceries at Walmart, Aldi, Costco, and Kroger. But I buy like 80% of my groceries at Aldi. There's a question about clothes but there is no option for second hand or a way to add a place that the app tracks but is not listed. Alternative suggestions are rarely the same kind is place. The app is good at a glance, but doesn't reflect your shopping habits at all.

Extremely useful with focus on highlighting companies that do not donate to either party! Some glitches to sort out. Getting corporate money out of politics is critical! This app, while depressing how few do NOT donate to either party, provides useful insight to effect that change. This allows everyone to have a small part in shaping a better future, potentially greatly reducung/eliminating corporate money in politics so we get a government truly for the people again. Just needs to add sources.

It WAS a good resource. Now it won't open promptly, crashes, glitches, and doesn't match alternative companies that match what I'm looking for. For instance, if you're looking for a home improvement store and boycott the one you type in, the app will give you an alternative that is useless, like a fashion store or a place to eat. And it is clear that the information hasn't been updated in a *long* time. (sigh) I wish there was a reliable app for people who want to vote with their pocketbook!
