The app adds a different approach to the combat of the game which is always welcome and the music improves the game experience (i used to do the same with Spotify), but, there are things that could be done with the app (easily) like let the decide and track monster spawns and maybe some events. Also, some habilities like make X damage to the monster when Y event happens is hard to apply (since you could only do damage during the witcher attack. I liked the app, but it could be better.

Initially thought this app would just help with keeping track of everything concerning monsters. But it introduces new monster mechanics, different from the base game and Monster Trail expansion. I would definitely swap my monster cards with it, though, as it eliminates the additional complexity of monster weaknesses, which I don't like, and leaves monsters unique enough for fights to be different and interesting. I hope more monsters will be introduced later for Legendary/Wild Hunts.

I really enjoy the way this app changes up the monster battles in The Witcher Old World, but am really disappointed they didn't include expansion monsters or character options from the Mages Expansion or the Manticore Witcher, or for Ciri. It means we have to choose between playing a vanilla game with the app or going back to the old manual fight system if we want the expanded experience of playing with the expansions, making the expansions feel like expensive paperweights.
