About this app

Travelers believes in making sure our customers understand the value of safe driving. IntelliDrive® is a program for Travelers auto insurance customers. This app will measure your driving for 90 days and provide updated driving performance and feedback after each trip. Your auto policy will be rated at renewal based on obtaining sufficient driving information from the app. There are just a few steps to get the app set up, and then it will run in the background.

Ratings and reviews

This app is designed to not give you any discount or even make you pay more. I've driven multiple times, and then only viable "event" could be speeding. But it flags for things that didn't happen in the drive, like hard breaking, distracted driving and hard acceleration. If rather pay the extra cost for insurance then use this worthless app and have to pay beyond what little I would have saved using it.

It only kind of works; it's extremely biased to not give a discount. It can't tell the difference between sitting in a parking lot and picking up your phone, or using your phone to pay for fast food item. You can't have someone else check your texts for you, or use your phone for aux that someone else controls. It doesn't account for people who work third shift, work late, or who take red eye flights. It does a good job with the actual driving aspects such as hard breaking, speeding, etc.

it doesn't record all the trips even if the APP was turned on all the time. The mileages recorded were usually less than the actual ones for the trips. For a retiree like me, the requirement of driving at least 500 miles within 90 days is not realistic. Overall, it's an excellent APP.
