CycLocator — Live GPS race tracking for cyclists
CycLocator turns your phone into a live race dot. Join any GPSDotWatch cycling event with a short code — no account needed — and your position streams to the event map so spectators, your crew, and safety staff can follow you in real time.
On the road
• Live tracking with battery-aware background GPS — keep riding with your screen off while your dot keeps moving.
• See the course and every rider on the live map, with your own position highlighted.
• Choose how often you ping (1, 2, or 5 minutes) to balance detail and battery.
• Points are buffered when you hit a dead zone and uploaded once you reconnect.
Safety first
• One-tap help — water/nutrition, mechanical, or SAG — sends your request and location straight to the event's support crew.
• An always-available Medical / Emergency button with a Call 911 shortcut and an offline "After a Crash" checklist (scene, evidence, medical, legal) that works even with no signal.
• On the public map, rider dots are anonymous — your name appears only if you call for help, and only to event staff.
Watch & follow
• Anyone can follow a race live from the map — no app or account required (also at gpsdotwatch.com).
Your profile (optional)
• Sign in with Apple or Google to claim a rider profile — your rides, roles, and badges, race to race. Anything you do anonymously carries over.
Privacy
• Anonymous by default. We don't sell your data, show ads, or run third-party trackers. Delete your account and personal info anytime, right in the app.
Built for everything from a casual group ride to multi-day ultras.
Background location is used only while you're actively tracking a ride, to send your position to the event you joined. You can stop anytime.
