Forklift was born from the frustration of using bloated and expensive nutrition trackers. It is designed for speed and ease of use, and is completely unmonetized (no cost, no subscription, no ads)
WORKS OFFLINE
Scanning and tracking happen entirely on your device. No account, no sync, no
waiting on a server. Your food log stays with you, even with no signal.
A FOOD DIARY THAT KEEPS UP
- Log meals across the day and see running calorie and macro totals
- Option to track only calories and protein
- Visual progress bars for protein, carbs, and fat against your goals
- Create your own custom foods and adjust serving sizes
- Build and save your regular meals, then add them back in one tap
- Copy a meal from one day to another
SCAN THE LABEL, NOT THE BARCODE
Most trackers make you scan a barcode and hope the product is in their
database. Forklift skips that. It uses on-device text recognition to read the
actual nutrition facts panel — calories, protein, carbs, and fat — straight off
the package. It works on store brands, foreign labels, and items no database
has ever heard of.
SET GOALS AND WATCH PROGRESS
- Set daily calorie and macro targets
- Log your weight over time
- See calorie intake and weight trends side by side on clear charts
WHY FORKLIFT
Tracking food shouldn't mean fighting an app. Scan what's in front of you, see
where your day stands, and get on with it.
Forklift is free and open source, and it always will be. The Nutrition Label OCR is also open source and is available as a seperate library for those that wish to add it to their own apps.
